Direct access is a way to immediately gain access to the experience and expertise of your barrister without needing a solicitor.
Traditionally, an arrested person who was charged with a criminal offence would instruct a solicitor, who would then find a barrister to represent their client in court. This adds an extra cost to you so direct access can eliminate this extra expense.
How can we help?
We have decades of experience in preparing criminal cases before courts. If you contact us directly or through a barrister’s chambers, the financial side of our help is separate from other fees. Direct access is becoming a very viable alternative to securing legal representation as it is cheaper and provides value for money.
Legal Aid
Legal aid doesn’t always provide a cost-free alternative for people. Even when it is granted, defence contribution orders may need to be paid. In a lot of cases, a similar amount can pay for private representation in the direct access scheme. We have assisted many of our customers and other barristers in a cost effective way that provides a personalised service.
